Everyone needs an April

I have, during the course of my writing career, been blessed with many great peers willing to help. I've had great critique partners and great beta readers. I've had excellent editors and a fantastic cover designer.

And I've just recently acquired an April.

I met her on TikTok and we hit it off and now she sends me things like this.

You see I've been struggling to finish this story. I've been sitting on it for over a year and I wanted to release it this June (that won't be happening). So in desperation, I sent an unfinished story to my new writer buddy. I just wanted to know if it was worth finishing.

I'm guessing it is.

Not sure if her goal was to kick me in the pants hard enough to get me writing, but that's what she did. And now, hopefully I'll be releasing it in September.

So, if you are a creative person who often finds yourself stuck, I'd suggest you go out and find yourself and April. :)
